George Poveromo Talks About Bass Pro Shops

My association with Bass Pro Shops spans 11 years. Anyone who walks into one of their facilities can’t help but feel like a kid in a giant toy store! As long as I have been immersed in this industry, I can still spend the better portion of the day just strolling down the isles and looking at all their equipment. And, of course, I always seem to find something I need, whether it’s a major item, or small, hard-to-find accessories.

I thoroughly enjoy the clinics I put on at selected Bass Pro stores each year, and I’m thrilled that Bass Pro owns Mako boats! The Bass Pro/Mako relationship means Mako will have the financial means to not only weather a poor economy, but to succeed and gain market shares. It also means the company has the resources to develop new models, perhaps even a 32 center console in the near future (Oops! Did I say that?!).
