CAPTAIN DIEGO TOIRAN – Host of the only Hispanic/bilingual fishing show on television – Pescando en los Cayos (Fishing in the Keys), Diego Toiran moved to Key West in 1988 to become a firefighter at Boca Chica Naval Base. He went on to retire as a Key West firefighter in 2020. Acquiring his captain’s license early on and commercially fishing for groupers, yellowtail and mutton snappers, he also ran charters for 15 years. Captain Mark Schmidt - Captain Mark Schmidt is a veteran light tackle guide who operates his Sun Dancer Fishing Charters from Murray Marine on Stock Island. CAPTAIN GABRIELLE BARNES – A native of Fort Walton Beach, Gabrielle grew up fishing the local waters with her father.
